We curate the sounds that fit your brand like a glove. ishlabTM approaches your programming from one of two ways. We can start from a list of the artists/genres that you already know resonate with your customers and take it to the next level – continuously expanding on that mix with new and original music. If we start from scratch, we take a survey of your brand identity and clientele to pinpoint music that reflects and strengthens your image. From there, we select the appropriate songs and create a seamless personalized playlist that fits your unique needs.
How many genres can I select from?
How many can you think of? We have that, and more. ishlabTM music stylists start with a broad knowledge of all musical genres, including but not limited to: Jazz/Blues, Electronic Dance, Soul/Funk, Hip Hop, International, Rock, Reggae, Latin, Ambient, Classical/Opera, Oldies, Top 40. From there, we can break it down even further into sub-genres such as Classics, Decades, Pop, General, Censored, Light, Heavy, Indie, Uptempo/Downtempo, Vocal, Instrumental, and so on. That said, ishlab strives to create a playlist just for you, bridging the similarities between styles, time periods, and geographic locations to create something appropriately unique, compelling, and perfect.

What do you mean by selecting moods?
For example, ishlabTM can compile your music programming by selecting songs across many genres, yet fitting within the overall vibe of your product line or brand experience. Think: Mellow/Lounge, Funky/Upbeat, Club Dance, Ambient, or even leave it up to ishlab Music’s Top Picks. We know music branding!
Am I just going to get a bunch of radio songs?
Puh lease. While we can incorporate popular hits within your music program, ishlabTM selects from thousands of original music tracks exclusively available through the ishlab Music catalogue. We have lots of music in all styles. Everything from what is currently popular, to timeless classics. Our cutting-edge music stylists choose music based on your tastes and environment so that your clients are always listening to what they like, even if they’ve never heard it before.
Do I need any special equipment to run my ishlab music soundtracks?
As long as your store has a stereo, computer or CD player – you are ready to run your ishlabTM Music Styling. For our iPod delivery option, we provide the cables needed to connect the iPod to your stereo.
How frequently will I receive new music? Can I change my sountrack frequency? For example, can I receive new music every 2 weeks instead of monthly?
Not a problem. While ishlabTM recommends a monthly contract, we do have additional “refresh” cycles to complement your company’s seasonal changes, client and employee tastes, etc. We can provide new soundtracks every 2 weeks, every 2 months, quarterly, every season (4x a year), and so on…
Can I play our soundtrack on the company website or as phone-on-hold music?
Absolutely. ishlabTM Music Licensing can work with you to secure additional rights to use your music program online or as your on-hold message. Please ask your ishlabTM representative for more details.

- Setting the Tone:
- You submit a request(hyperlink to request form). Your ishlabTM Music Styling representative meets with you or your team to gather more information about providing you with the right music and the music selection begins..
- You submit a request (link). Ishlab uses the request information to start the music selection process.
- Style & Substance: ishlabTM DJs creates and delivers your first 12-hour music mix based on mood, genre and/or other criteria determined during the initial consultation.
- You’ve Got Mail: On the 1st of the month your store receives a freshly-curated music program ready for immediate play.
- From the Horse's Mouth: ishlab gathers feedback from you, your company, and your clients to fine-tune your music soundtracks.
How will I get my music and how will my music soundtracks be delivered?
There are 3 great ways to receive your ishlabTM Music Styling:
- An on location hardware device is remotely loaded with your soundtrack playlists and controlled by you.
- A software application is loaded onto your computer for us to deliver your soundtrack playlists to and for you to play the music from;
- Your music program file is available for online download (each file expires 31 days after the download date).
