Located just fifteen minutes from downtown Manhattan, Brooklyn-based ishlab studio offers competitive rates, highly trained engineers, vintage and contemporary equipment, acoustically treated rooms, and a relaxed atmosphere conducive to the highest levels of productivity and creativity.

ishlab’s dedicated team provides quality and capability in recording, engineering, editing, audio video synchronization, and mixing. ishlab studio is maintained and operated by a team of professionally trained recording and mixing engineers, with a combined twenty-five years of experience in sound production in major recording facilities such as the Hit Factory, Daddy’s House, Battery Studios, Chung King, Sony Studios, and Electric Lady Studios. The ishlab staff has formal music school training (Berklee College of Music, NYU, The New School, and Parsons). Artists they have worked with include: Amel Larrieux, Anthony Hamilton, Brooklyn Historic Society, D.J. Sasha, D.J. Rap, D-Nice, Duran Duran, EA Games, Girls Against Boys, J-live, Kudu, Lauryn Hill, Lady Miss Kier, Laila Hathaway, Miller Genuine Draft, Nona Hendrix, N’Dea Davenport, Pharohe Monch, Robin Hood Foundation, Towa Tei, The Game, The Monkeys, VH1 and Wax Poetic.

The unique sound of ishlab studios is achieved by both it’s staff and it’s use of contemporary and vintage equipment. The centerpiece of the recording room, a vintage MCI console, used in powerplay studios for production by iconic artists such as KRS One, Eric B and Rakim, DJ Premier, and Salt n’ Pepa is just one of ishlab’s many features that set it apart from other studios. *see appendix for full equipment list.
