Successful candidates will need to be comfortable working in a loosely structure environment with little to no

Job Description:
Primarily focused on Marketing, Communications, and Business Development, the Marketing
Analyst position provides an experienced analyst with the opportunity to apply problem‐solving
techniques and creative strategies to high‐level corporate initiatives. The candidate is
responsible for providing accurate and actionable data analysis to support the goal of providing
ishlab Music clients with a world‐class experience. This team, project‐based role will focus on
developing, structuring, and executing specific, impactful business initiatives.
This role is involved with the ishlab iD styling and licensing portion of the business and will
directly report to the Strategy and Marketing Director. The Marketing Analyst will be
responsible for collecting and analyzing data in order to define target customer segments and
assess their preferences and needs. By determining optimal revenue drivers and growth
opportunities, the marketing analyst will also be responsible for evaluating current and potential
geographic and industry segments. He or she will also be responsible for identifying and
monitoring competitors in addition to researching market conditions or changes in the industry
that may affect sales.
A successful candidate will be technically savvy, highly analytical, and detail‐oriented. He or she
should possess a broad understanding of business goals, as well as a keen ability to synthesize
and analyze data and understand its potential impact on the business. He or will possess
excellent communication skills and be comfortable with a flexible work environment. Critical
and creative thinking are essential. An interest in music and social media is preferred.
Responsibilities (include, but not limited to):
• Perform data‐driven, strategic analysis to help support business goals
• Analyze the expected impact of industry trends by performing due diligence on external
market factors and competitive environment
• Further develop and update social networking sites, in order to build current fan base
• Clearly present findings in a logical and efficient manner
• Interface with multiple groups to appropriately leverage resources (i.e., Marketing, Finance,
Merchandising, Product Development, Customer Support)
Requirements:
• B.A. or B.S. from top academic institution; undergraduate business program a plus
• Work experience involving business analysis, management consulting or social media
